ENGINE COMPANY X: THE POWERFUL VOICE

The WSG Documentary is now available on DVD

Los Angeles, Ca (July 16, 2004)-Another milestone is crossed as Engine Company X: The Powerful Voice” makes its highly anticipated debut on DVD.

The film, also known as ECX, has enjoyed screenings in the Los Angeles area and multiple television runs. The exposure was repaid with positive reviews and questions about how this film could be obtained for home viewing. This offered the film’s producers the opportunity to explore another realm for the ECX project.

“Today’s advances in filmmaking & duplicating technology allow the independent filmmaker to consider DVD release as a viable option for their film. In terms of this project, the reaction we heard from audience screenings and from TV reinforced our decision to move forward.”

-Chin Thammasaengsri

Westlake Signal Group founder & Executive Producer/Writer ECX

Quinn Gibbs of Black Diamond Graphics in Los Angeles designed the front & back cover of the DVD (pictured above). He used various classic photographs from the African-American Firefighter Museum, lafire.com, The Stentorians, and the WSG Collection while designing a masterful logo with its trademark flaming “X.” We are pleased to announce that Quinn and his company will return to do the cover for ECX2. Princeton Disc of New Jersey duplicated the DVD’s.
